On March 31, 2016, EducationUSA featured a global, Interactive webchat entitled "Muslim Student Voices." The featured panelists included an undergraduate student from Turkey, a Fulbright graduate student from Afghanistan, and a student advisor for George Mason's Muslim Student Association from Jordan. Acting Special Envoy to the Organization for Islamic Cooperation, Arsalan Suleman, moderated the event. Panelists discussed their experiences on U.S. campuses and gave general advice for Muslim students interested in applying to American colleges and universities. A live audience at the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad, India joined the panel and broadened the discussion to include conversations on networking opportunities, on-campus resources, and managing life in the U.S. as a Muslim. Several viewing groups from around the world, including Munich and Kunduz, asked questions, along with online viewers in places like Bangladesh, Yemen and Madagascar.
