Center Description: The EducationUSA Center in Sanaa is based at AMIDEAST, a private, nonprofit organization that strengthens mutual understanding and cooperation between Americans and the peoples of the Middle East and North Africa.

The EducationUSA Advising Center provides numerous educational services, including free introductory public information sessions on various aspects of U.S. education, individual consultations on U.S. study, and application support services.

Program Highlights

Opportunity Grants (OG)

The U.S. Department of State Opportunity grant is designed to support the application process to U.S. higher education institutions for students who are highly qualified, but are unable to cover the expenses of applying. The initiative provides funds to cover the costs faced by talented but financially disadvantaged Yemani students who are not eligible for or funded by other U.S. Government-sponsored exchange programs.
