From Reykjavik to Vladivostok: EducationUSA

EducationUSA and the U.S. Department of State were delighted to host 214 participants from 40 countries who share EducationUSA’s goal of assisting students from around the world in accessing U.S. higher education opportunities, including:

- 110 EducationUSA Advisers from 39 countries in Europe and Eurasia;
- U.S. Foreign Service staff from 5 U.S. Embassies in Europe and Eurasia;
- A record 63 representatives from 36 U.S. universities and colleges, representing nearly half of the United States (22 states + Washington, DC);
- Representatives from 26 educational organizations.

The workshop included a new advisers training as well as a new media workshop to successfully integrate social media tools into marketing U.S. higher education and EducationUSA. Altogether, EducationUSA Advisers participated in 44 workshop sessions and special interest meetings with leading experts from the U.S. and Europe.
