Book Club Discussion - The Scarlett Letter
The objective of the book club is to act as a pre-departure tool to assist students who are leaving in the fall with prescibed American literature. The book club will strengthen student English reading and writing skills, increase their vocabulary which will assist with communication skills. American literature is not part of the Namibian English sylabus thus the book club allows for students to be informed about American Literature prior to their departure to the US for studies. Book club discussions are led by Americans. This gives students first hand exposure to the American interpretation of the book as well as expose the students to the different American accents.
