Program HighlightsGuidance Counsellors' Luncheon, October 27th, 2011 18 Barbadian guidance counsellors and two interns gathered at the American Embassy in Barbados to hear more about the process of applying to U. S. higher education institutions in general and Kalamazoo College, Smith College, and EducationUSA. The highly productive meeting provided the group with valuable information and with clarity, especially on issues related to 1) differences between liberal arts and science colleges and public research institutions; 2) the admissions p; 3) the need for SAT/ACT scores; 4) Kalamazoo College and Smith College; and 5) EducationUSA’s new initiatives such as the 5 Steps to U.S. Study program.
