Program Highlights
Training a new generation of Educational Advisors
In November 2012, the Embassy Tripoli sent twelve Educational Advising Assistants from throughout Libya to a three-day training in Amman, Jordan, hosted by Regional Educational Advising Coordinator Kristen Cammarata with assistance from PAS LES and EducationUSA Advisor. The new educational advisors will be available to assist Libyan students with educational opportunities, make presentations on studying in the U.S., and submit regular reports to the Embassy. This new cadre of advisors will help Embassy Tripoli meet its goals of spreading accurate information about higher education in the U.S. and increasing the number of Libyan students gaining admission to U.S. universities. We plan to launch this advising service by the end of February 2013.
