Program HighlightsPreparing the YES Scholars for their US Higher Education Undertake With support from the US State Department, the AMIDEAST Kuwait office has handled the recruitment process of the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program, which grants Kuwaiti nationals and residents who are in their 9th or 10 Grade a scholarship opportunity to travel to the US for one academic year and study at a US high school as well as live with an American family. This program, has prepared many of our students for their future higher education in the US as it gives them the chance to look into the available institutions and programs that they would like to pursue after graduating from high school. We instruct all students who are ready to participate in the program on what steps to take to prepare for their university undertake while they are in the US on the YES program. Our office also works with the program alumni on guiding them on the admission procedures once they are ready to apply for college. Giving students an Access to the world through the Access Program With support from the US State Department, the AMIDEAST Kuwait office has handled the recruitment process of English Language Microscholarship Program, which grants Kuwaiti students the opportunity to study English Language for 6 months over a two year course, in an attempt to improve their EL skills.
