Program HighlightsFirst EducationUSA Community College Fair, 2011 Noting a viable market for technical/vocational and 2+2 programs for students in Central America, the EducationUSA Centers in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador hosted the first Community College Fair in Central America. With funding support from the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, nine community colleges from all over the U.S. participated in a week of fairs, counselor workshops, meetings with parents and rectors of local universities. In El Salvador, the fairs took place in San Salvador, the capital city, and in San Miguel, the third largest city in the country. Press coverage of the fair was outstanding and several community college representatives gave interviews for print media, on the radio and TV. Upcoming Events
