Program Highlights

Weekly Advising Session

Tuesdays and Thursdays are set for advising sessions at the Information Resources Center (IRC) in the U.S. Embassy in Algiers. The IRC is open for students to meet with the EducationUSA Adviser and receive advice on the application process, financial aid and available programs.

Competitive College Club

The Competitive College Club is an EducationUSA program that assists high school students who want to apply to competitive US universities. Students meet monthly and participate in lectures, book clubs, community service activities, cross cultural exercises and test preparation. The activities help ensure that students are properly advised as they go through a process of preparing themselves both academically and socially for a US university and find schools that might be a good fit.

Future Algerian Academics and Scientists (FAAS)

This program is for university students who are working to apply to graduate schools in the U.S. They have just started meeting on a monthly basis to work on developing strong applications. They would love to meet with any visitors who come through to learn more about graduate admissions.
