Educational Information Fair
In October 2011, the 16th annual Educational Information Fair took place at the American University of Armenia. The fair has been popular with students, researchers and academic institutions for years. The event was an opportunity for the EAC to disseminate information about its services, research opportunities, fellowships, scholarships, and exchange programs. Seventeen exhibitors (9 US Schools) participated in the Fair. The fair attracted more than 1500 students and scholars.
International Education Week (IEW)
In the framework of the “International Education Week”, the US Embassy in Armenia/American Councils/IREX/US Alumni Association of Armenia/Harvard Alumni CLUB of Armenia/Cluboratoria organized events dedicated to the Week: “BookCrossing”, Round Table Discussion, Open Door Day, Harvard Alumni Meeting from 14th to 18th November 2011. November 14, 2011 On 14th November from early morning, people were invited to Cluboratoria where they could leave favorite books, which would then be passed to other booklovers. November 15, 2011 On November EAC visitors had a unique chance to take part in the Round Table Discussion with USG program alumni. The discussion was on “State education problems in Armenia and demand to increase science funding”. The discussion was held by the Alumni of American Universities. The meeting took place at the EAC library of the American Councils office at 5 p.m.. November 16, 2011 On November 16 the American Councils and IREX had an Open Door Day. They opened their doors for public to visit and got acquainted with American Councils and IREX programs and staff. The march started from the American Councils at 3 p.m. and ended up at IREX office. JOIN US!!! November 17, 2011 EAC visitors met with Harvard University alumni of Armenia, who were members of Harvard Alumni Club of Armenia. During the meeting Harvard alumni were tend the bar, prepare cocktails and shots. 10 percent of the days revenue was directed to a scholarship fund. EducationUSA Alumni Fair
It has already become a tradition to held an EducationUSA Alumni Fair for EducationUSA Advising Center. Last year, on June 8, the 1st EducationUSA Alumni Fair took place at the Yerevan State University. Approximately 300 people visited the Alumni Fair and learned about more than twenty U.S. colleges and universities represented by Peace Corps Volunteers, expatriates, and Armenian graduates.
This year the EducationUSA Alumni Fair will take place on May 18 at the Congress Hotel (Address: Italy street 1). Dozens of U.S. Foreign Service officers and family members, other U.S. citizens and Armenian alumni of U.S. universities will share their U.S. higher education experiences and will be ready to answer questions from visitors. Promotional materials, including brochures and handouts, from the universities being represented will be available for distribution. The fair is open to all interested visitors. Entrance if free of charge.

awards scholarships for graduate students majoring in Armenian Studies, with no restrictions as to citizenship. The Kasper and Siroon Hovannisian Fellowship offers awards for graduate students with a
focus in Armenian Studies, with preference given to Armenian History.
