8 Ambassador Marciel Opens EducationUSA/IIEF Fair in Jakarta

EducationUSA and IIEF will hold the 2011 U.S. Higher Education Fair on October 5th in Jakarta where representatives from more than 60 U.S. leading and accredited universities and colleges will meet prospective students from Indonesia. United States Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Scot Marciel will give welcoming remarks to officially open the fair. The Fair will continue in Surabaya on the the 6th and conclude in Medan on the 7th.

12 EducationUSA Opens in Ho Chi Minh City

EducationUSA, the official US government source of information on study in the United States, started operations in Ho Chi Minh City in early August.

The EducationUSA office is on the 8th floor of Diamond Plaza, 34 Le Duan Street, District 1, at the Public Affairs Section of the US Consulate General in the city.
 
13 2010 Campus Host Opportunities for US Institutions Now Available
Date: Monday, November 30th, 2009

This announcement provides details and application instructions for the following 2010 programs:
Option I. Spring 2010 USBT Program (April 15-21) – Transportation, housing and meal per diem paid by grant funds; cost-sharing encouraged.
Option II. Fall 2010 USBT Program (October 31 – November 5) – Transportation, housing and meal per diem paid by grant funds; cost-sharing encouraged.
Option III. June 2010 post-NAFSA-conference campus tours (June 5-11, 2010 flexible dates) – Transportation to/from primary tour location covered; housing and meal per diem must be contributed by hosting institution(s) as cost-sharing.
Option IV. 2010 EducationUSA Explore program (August/September 2010) - Transportation covered; grant funds are available to cover some adviser/institution expenses; cost-sharing encouraged

17 US Ambassador calls for doubling of students from Indonesia studying in the USA

US Ambassador to Indonesia Cameron Hume has announced his support for an initiative by AMINEF’s EducationUSA advising service to double the number of Indonesians studying in the US within the next five years. A US Embassy press release made available to Antara on Friday said the "Take Control" initiative would provide greater public access to EducationUSA’s advisers through a combination of mobile advising services and an enhanced online presence.
