Program HighlightsNovember – International Education Month International Education Week (IEW) was celebrated during the entire month of November at the American Educational Center. Guest speakers, including Embassy officials, Peace Corps Volunteers, Fulbright students and UEP alumni, conducted presentations on the following topics: writing personal statements, effective CV writing, SAT & TOEFL tips and tricks, volunteer opportunities, experiencing culture shock, and the Undergraduate Exchange Program. Speakers also made presentations on the University of Washington; University of Georgia/Athens; University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Slippery Rock University. 200 regular visitors, including prospective graduate and undergraduate students attended these presentations. High School Outreach Activities During the outreach activities around 350 students, not just in the capital city, but in 3 other cities were informed about the application process and the services the American Educational Center provides. The guest speakers were once again Fulbright students or Peace Corps Volunteers. Undergraduate and Graduate Seminars These 2 seminars were held in June/July by the educational adviser, Gordana Mircic with Peace Corps Volunteers and alumni as guest speakers.
