Center Description: «БІЛІМ – Орталық Азия» Білім Беру Орталығы 1995 жылы ағылшын тілін үйренуге және шетелде оқуға қызығатындар үшін ашылған. Қазіргі кезде Орталық Ашық Қоғам Институтымен, АҚШ Мемлекеттік Департаментінің Білім беру программалары және Мәдениет жөніндегі Бюросымен, Сорос-Қазақстан Қорымен сондай-ақ АҚШ және Еуропа Университеттерімен қаржыландырылады. Орталық АҚШ дүниежүзілік халықаралық білім беру орталықтар жүйесінің ассоциацияланған мүшесі болып табылады және біздің статус АҚШ Мемлекеттік Департаментімен расталған. Орталық қызметкерлері – шетелде білім беру саласындағы жоғары білікті профессионалдар, білім беру саласындағы Халықаралық Мамандар Ассоциациясының мүшелері. Барлық қызметкерлер жыл сайын басқа орталықтар – жүйе мүшелері, АҚШ университеттерінің базасында біліктілікті жоғарылату тренингтерінен өтеді, NAFSA және басқада конференцияларға қатысады.

Program HighlightsMeeting with Yale University In March 2009, students from Yale University visited the Shymkent EducationUSA center and presented information about the univeristy. About 20 students had an opportunity to participate the event and to ask questions about the university. The undergraduate and graduate students from Yale provided the center with Yale catalogs and brochures. Presentation by the University of San Francisco In April 2009, a student from the University of San Fransisco made a presentation about the University at the Shymkent EducationUSA center. Myrtis Mixon is a Fulbright scholar and works at MIRAS University in Shymkent. During her presentation, Myris provided information about her home university, spoke about the US higher education system, and provide tips on how to write a successful statement of purpose. Training for High-school Students On November 10, EducationUSA Adviser Arman Turdaliyev participated in a 3-day training for Shymkent high school students at School #8. The training was organized by Peace Corps Volunteer Sipra Bihani. During the training, participants learned about opportunities to study in the U.S., scholarship programs, and tips on writing an essay and resume. Upcoming Events
