Program Highlights

Osh EducationUSA center visitors receive full scholarships to MIT!

Two visitors to the EducationUSA center in Osh, Kainar Kamalov and Maksim Stepanenko, have been awarded full scholarships from MIT! Both students are very talented, smart, hard-working, and purposeful. Kainar Kamalov is a sophomore at MIT and Maksim Stepanenko is a recent transfer student (from Jacobs University in Germany). Both young men are winners of numerous National and International Olympiads.

Studying at MIT runs in the Kamalov family. Kainar's brother, Meder, also studies at MIT. After graduating from MIT, he will work in the field of biochemistry.

Kainar and Maxim have great academic and non-academic achievemnets. They are also the recipients of EducationUSA Opportunity Grants, which are awarded to talented students of limited financial means to support the cost of the application process to US universities.


Osh EducationUSA Center visitor receives full scholarship from Mount Holyoke College

A regular center visitor was accepted to Mount Holyoke College (MA). She was awarded full scholarship $52,866! It was a great success!


Osh EAC Center visitor became a student of American University!

One high school student was accepted by American University (Washington, DC). She has been admitted to the School of International Service with an intended major in International Studies.

The Global Faculty Grants Program offers professional development and research support to faculty in the social sciences and humanities in select countries. The program aims to: • encourage the
pursuit of and continued engagement with academic careers; • generate new approaches to curricular and pedagogical practice; • support the creation of internationally peer-reviewed
scholarship; • boost the quality of teaching and research in the social science and humanities; and • build and sustain local and international academic networks. The program offers two
separate tracks of support for eligible scholars: TRACK I (TEACHING TRACK) is devoted primarily to developing the teaching and research expertise of younger faculty with an eye towards encouraging
improved course content via improved research and pedagogy. These fellowships last up to 10 months, are not renewable, and are tenable at universities arranged by program administrators. TRACK II
(RESEARCH TRACK) is devoted to helping well-established faculty to pursue research leading to publication at universities outside of their home country. These fellowships last up to 5 months, and are
renewable once, after residence in the home country for a minimum one (1) year.
