Presidential Grants are annually awarded to 50 undergraduate students and 50 graduate students for study abroad for 10 months. Eligible fields of study range from physics and engineering to art and
design. All interested applicants can request more information through the international departments of their respective universities. Funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian

Republic of Tatarstan Higher Education Fellowship Program awards highly qualified students full fellowships for graduate-level study at leading universities in the U.S. The program is funded by the
funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, and administered by American Councils for International Education.

President of Bashkortostan Grants are awarded to residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, to study in another country at any level for up to one academic year.

Berea College is the only school in the United States that provides 100% funding to 100% of enrolled international students (including those from Russia) for the first year of enrollment. This
combination of financial aid and scholarships offsets the costs of tuition, room, board, and fees. All international students are provided with a paid, on-campus job through the College’s Work
Program throughout the academic year.

Georgia College & State University offers international students scholarships (ISS) for undergraduates and graduates from different countries including students from Russia. These scholarships are
awarded as either a full out-of-state tuition waiver or a half out-of-state tuition waiver, and are awarded on the basis of demonstrated academic ability, evidence of extra-curricular involvement and
financial need.

Grinnell College offers comprehensive scholarships to pay for the costs associated with attending Grinnell College for native Russian speakers who are strong applicants and demonstrate financial need.
Scholarships are renewable for three additional years of the student’s studies at Grinnell College.

Oldenborg Center at Pomona College brings in a Russian student to live in their language immersion dorm each year. These young professionals mentor students of language, teach the Russian language
conversation classes, organize cultural events, foster conversation at the Oldenborg Dining Hall language tables, and much more.

The Kearney and Haliv Family Fellowship at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, is awarded with preference given to students from countries of the
former Soviet Union.

The Ludmilla and Richard Murphy Fellowship assists students from Eastern Europe who plan to return to their home country to pursue a career in the government or nonprofit sector.

The Cynthia Bradford Paddock Fellowship supports exceptional students from the former Soviet Union countries, with a preference for students in Russian and Eastern European Studies.

The Laurence Hirsch Fellowship supports academically-exceptional students from Eastern Europe.

The Parachini Family Fellowship supports students from Eastern and Central Europe.

The Ukrainian Home Society Scholarship at Lansing Community College is awarded to Ukrainian or other Eastern European students.

Two Virginia and Henry Apelian Scholarships at Union County College are awarded annually based on financial need and academic achievement, with priority given to students of Armenian descent. If there
are no qualifying students of Armenian descent, then priority will be given to students from countries formed after the dissolution of the U.S.S.R.

The University of Evansville offers Academic Scholarships for international students; Russian students may be also eligible for additional awards (up to $3,000) if they demonstrate outstanding
academic performance and are nominated by an EducationUSA Adviser working in one of the EducationUSA Centers in Russia.

The East-West Center at the University of Hawai’i offers Graduate Degree Fellowships for citizens of countries in the Pacific and Asia, including Russia, to fund graduate study or research.

The University of Notre Dame offers the Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program for students from different countries, including Russia. The program offers a four-year merit scholarship toward the cost of
attendance.

The Open Society Institute Scholarship program at the American University in Bulgaria offers full and partial awards to good students who otherwise would not be able to cover the full costs of their
education. Full awards cover tuition, residence hall and student activity fees at AUBG.

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) awards fellowships for full-time study or research in the U.S. to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Fellowships support
graduate or postgraduate studies at accredited institutions.

The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund offers approximately 200 grants for women from different countries, including Russia, to pursue full-time graduate studies in the U.S. Scholars must
plan to return to their countries on completion of their degree program. Open to all fields.
