Center Description: MACEE provides free advising services on all accredited institutions of higher learning in the USA through group and individual advising sessions, email, phone and twitter. We also conduct workshops and presentations. MACEE maintains an extensive library with free internet access. MACEE helps administer the General Electric and AMCHAM Scholarships as well as the Opportunity Fund and Fulbright programs.

Higher Education Fairs
Program HighlightsApplying to U.S. colleges and Applying for a Student Visa Our Advising Center hosted a live audience of students, parents and college counselors and the same session was also a webchat. Presenters included two U.S. Liberal Arts College representatives and a Consular Officer from the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Students logged onto the webchat from various parts of Malaysia and a group logged on from the Kelantan Lincoln Corner. Study in the USA EducationUSA Advisers attended the Click Camp 2011 and spoke to 204 students and 16 teachers about studying in the USA. Students filled in a survey of the opinions of the students regarding higher education and studying abroad. Advisers staffed a table with information on studying in the USA and meet individually with students during break time. The Camp was organized by the U.S. Embassy and the theme was on Social Entrepreneurship. Pre-Departure Orientation A Pre-departure Orientation was conducted in August. The program included presentations by EducationUSA Adviser and a U.S. Embassy Consular Officer and Q & A time. Thirty students leaving for USA in for Fall intake, 2011 attended the session.
