Program Highlights

"Study Abroad" Convention

During the event the presentation of study abroad was made with focus on studying in the USA. Although we had space for 200 atendees, the spots filled in 3 days incl. additional 50 places we secured.
During the event we presented general information on study abroad (how to..), available funding at home and abroad. Presentation of study in the USA was made by an Embassy representative. A pannel discussion with 3 Slovenes who either did exchange programs abroad or a full degree study was also organized.

Visit from US institution

Under ReConnect USBT program we hosted a visitor from University of Michigan (Ann Arbour) as part of her visit in Croatia. When promoting the event among high school and higher education students interest was quite big so we had to schedule 2 time slots to be able to accomodate everybody (over 120 participants during major school break).
There was an additional presentation to high shool students a few days later with again full room, organized by us with cooperation with the shool.
Due to time limitations and school break no visit was possible to other major cities although there was high interest from them, too.

Visit from Chapman, Grinnell & Lynn

University reps from Chapman and Lynn University and Grinnell College visited Ljubljana in begining of November 2010 and held presentations at IB School and for students interested in study in the U.S.
