Center Description: The Library of the German-American Institute (DAI) in Heidelberg offers a range of ways for you to learn about what your possibilities are in the USA. Whether you want to study, do an internship, a high school exchange, or volunteer work, we can help! We have an EducationUSA corner where you can read books on all topics concerning a trip to the US, including study materials for the entrance exams like TOEFL, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT and more.

We can also help you write your application for a job in English or an personal statement for your university application. If you are studying to be a teacher, we can help you find an internship in an American School for up to 9 months with Amity. Best of all we offer a space for you to meet other internationally interested people and get involved. Drop by and see us!

Informational event with talks about higher education in the USA from a representative of the U.S. consulate General in Frankfurt. For anyone who is interested in a program in the U.S.


Internship in the USA

With two or three invited guests from established organizations to talk about internship programs in detail.


High school Exchange Fair

For high school students and young adults. Approx. 30 organizations are invited in October.


Small Info Sessions

Small info sessions are held once a month alternating between the topics of study and internships in the U.S.


Virtual Education Fair

After a series of lectures on US higher education from representatives from DAAD, EducationUSA, and International Foreign Student Office (University of Heidelberg), students had the chance to chat live online with representatives from a variety of US higher education institutions
