Higher Education Fairs
Program HighlightsPre-departure orientation for the students accepted by the US universities/colleges for 2011/2012 academic year. Date to be confirmed. The event will be organized by the Fulbright Commission and the American Embassy in Warsaw. Polish alumni, U.S. students and researchers as well as U.S. Consul and Educational Advisers will participate. Conference Half a day conference for representatives of universities (international cooperation officers and rectors) in Warsaw and representatives of the American Companies in Poland. How can Polish and US universities and the local and U.S. business provide more studying, training and internship opportunities for the students. Information sessions for students on financial aid and available scholarships for potential graduate students in the US. Presentations on Graduate Scholarships Abroad conferences in Szczecin University of Natural Sciences and in Krakow at the Jagiellonian University, Collegium Medicum. Information on fellowships, scholarships and assistantship apportunities for graduate international students was provided. Many students interested in study in the USA attended (90 in Szczecin, 95 in Krakow). Workshops: How to finance undergraduate studies and in the United States - workshops in the universities of Bialystok, Olsztyn, Gdansk, Szczecin, Wroclaw, Lodz, Krakow and Warsaw. How to cope with high tuition fee and help high school graduates to study in US colleges. Community colleges as the door to the US higher education. We hope to invite students and parents for the workshops that will be organized in high schools and American Centers. Skype sessions will be organized when possible. Workshops: Internships in the United States for the students and immediate graduates. Internship opportunities and procedures. How to write a winning application and survive interview at the company. Why go for internship in the US and how it can help in building professional and academic career. Upcoming Events
