Program Highlights

APSIA Fair

The EducationUSA-Fulbright Advising Center advertised and participated in the APSIA fair for graduates studies in international relations held in Madrid in November 2011.


Local High School Outreach Presenations

The EducationUSA Advising Center regularly visits local high schools to meet students interested in applying to US universities. Topics of discussion include how to decide where to apply, testing and how to prepare, and funding opportunities and how to apply.


College Night

In March the EducationUSA advising center staff attends College Night, organized by the Embassy association. The US Ambassadors opens the event and staff from the Embassy mans tables to tell students from local international high schools about their alma mater. The event is held at International College Spain in the northern suburbs of Madrid.


Local University Outreach Presentations

The Fulbright-EducationUSA Advising Center staff travels to about four universities in Andalusia and two in Navarre each year to promote Fulbright grants and graduate study in the US. We visit other universities upon request.


Ministry Outreach Presentation

The Fulbright-EducationUSA Advising Center staff speaks at the Ministry of Industry, Toursim and Commerce, the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Public Administration on a regular basis to promote Fulbright grants for civil servants and graduate study in the United States. Important fields of study: Public Administration, Public Policy, Economic Analysis, Finance, Engineering.
