17th Athens US University Fair

The Fulbright Foundation organized its 17th Annual Fair at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on October 12, 2011. Representatives from 34 American Higher Education institutions participated in the event. Over 550 students, counselors and parents visited the Fair to get information on American undergraduate and graduate education. The Foundation publishes a catalog that includes information on the educational institutions which participate at the Fair.
This year's event was complemented by two presentations (parallel sessions) on U.S. Graduate Studies and the Fulbright Scholarship program in Greece.
14th International Exhibition on Education, Stadium of Peace and Friendship, Palaio Faliro, Athens
March 3-4, 2012 (weekend)
During the weekend of March 3-4, 2012 the Fulbright Foundation-Greece participated once again with its own booth at the 14th International Exhibition on Education at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship, Palaio Faliro. This event is the largest of its kind in Greece and attracts hundreds of visitors each year.
An estimated 350 visitors stopped by the Fulbright Foundation’s booth and interacted with Fulbright Greece and and EducationUSA advisors, Nicholas Tourides (Athens) and Dimitrios Doutis (Thessaloniki). Fulbright Foundation’s educational advisors and volunteers were available to provide information on: studies in the United States, entrance tests such as TOEFL, SAT, GRE and GMAT, the Fulbright Scholarship program and answer students’ questions. Informational material was also available.
This year the Fulbright Foundation in Greece also organized two parallel sessions on U.S. Graduate Studies & the Fulbright Scholarship Program and on MBA Programs in the U.S. The latter session was presented by Ms. Emily Bentz, Admission Officer, Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University.
This is the largest educational event in the country with much exposure to the general public and also allows for interaction with the Foundation’s EducationUSA advisors over the weekend where students and parents have more time available.
