Program HighlightsThe Competitive College Club Since 2008, the Competitive College Club has been one of our most successful initiatives. Starting with a group of seven students, we now manage a group of more than 30 high school students from all over the country. We start with an information workshop for interested secondary school students; we then embark them upon the undergraduate application process, starting with mandatory monthly meetings, SAT preparation sessions and a mandatory one week long workshop held during the summer vacation before their senior year. The students work not only on improving their English language level but also on mastering the standardized tests, their writing skills in order to help them beyond. They are also individually monitored on their progress. The students are very excited and motivated to continue the application process, and always seize any other opportunities that come their way, which, we believe, is a result of careful supervision and moral support. The International Education Week During International Education Week which are held every November, a wide variety of activities are scheduled in both the Advising Department and the American Corner. These included usual information sessions on undergraduate & graduate study in the USA, in addition to Special Topic Sessions. The latter aim at helping students overcome their weaknesses while applying for schools in the U.S. or jobs in American institutions. That is why those sessions are designed as interactive two-hour-workshops that show students how to write a CV & a Cover Letter while applying for a job in an American institution, and how to write their Personal Statement while applying to schools in the USA. Following the same goal, a workshop entitled Making the Most of your College Search takes place to show students how to begin their college search and navigate college websites in order to identify universities that fit their interests.
