Program Highlights

College Fair

On April 27, the EducationUSA Advising Center (EAC) at the College of
Micronesia-FSM organized the first U.S. college fair in the F.S.M. Program participants included U.S. Ambassador to the F.S.M. Peter A. Prahar, COM-FSM Acting Interim President Joe Habuchmai, EAC Advisers Lore Nena and Mike Ioanis, COM-FSM faculty and staff, and U.S. college and university alumni. Nearly 200 students attended from COM-FSM, various public and private high schools, and the U.S. Federal programs Upward Bound (UB) and Educational Talent Search Program (TSP) in Pohnpei.

Outreaches

For the month of February the EducationUSA College of Micronesia have had four outreaches to both public school and private school with in Pohnpei State. The outreaches were mainly about providing general information regarding EducationUSA and the services that are available at the center and also help a college prep student group look for school in the U.S using the college search engines.
