Introduction of Presidential
Scholarship Program for Study in the US

The Presidential scholarship program in Azerbaijan was launched in 2008. The program, which provides full scholarships for Azerbaijani students to study in foreign countries, will continue until 2015. Under the auspices of the Fulbright student program, the US Department of State works in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic to select students to study in graduate programs in the USA. Many visitors to EducationUSA centers in Azerbaijan are participating in this competition.

Azerbaijani Government Scholarship Program

The Azerbaijani Government Scholarship Program provides full funding for Azerbaijani graduate students to study in the fields of medicine, economics, management, information and communication technologies, and law. Funded by the Government of Azerbaijan. http://www.edu.gov.az

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Scholarship Program (SOCAR)

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Scholarship Program (SOCAR) provides full funding for Azerbaijani citizens interested in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry and pursuing master’s programs in petroleum engineering, information technology, accounting, international law and business. The scholarships, awarded to 50 students per year, are fully funded by SOCAR and cover application fees, visa‐related expenses, tuition, medical insurance, transportation and living expenses. http://www.socar.az/12‐snews‐view‐en.html
