March 12, 2012 - Women’s History Month Event. Meeting with Shade Adu, English Language Teacher at Nazarbayev Intellectual School, devoted to the topic of women’s colleges in the USA. Shade prepared a presentation entitled “Women's Colleges in the United States: History, Issues, and Challenges”. Shade informed the group that these institutions were created to promote and expand educational opportunities for women and that the institutions quickly became synonymous with brilliant teaching and academic excellence. March 14, 2012 - 65 University representatives from the USA, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Turkey, Switzerland, Malaysia and others countries took part. Many students were interested in education in the U.S. Astana EdUSA Advising Center informed students about resources of the EdUSA Advising Center and services for advisees, provided information about US education.
