Advising Services
The EducationUSA Advising Center in the U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi provides guidance to students interested in undergraduate, graduate, or professional studies in the USA. Group sessions are conducted on the college selection and application process, visa applications, and special fields of study. The center conducts outreach activities in the community, especially in remote areas. Pre-departure orientation sessions are scheduled for students receiving scholarships to study in the U.S. The EducationUSA Center provides services for U.S. college representatives visiting individually or as part of college fairs.

Program HighlightsInstitute of Applied Technology - Al-Ain, September 2010; Abu Dhabi, October 2010; Ras Al-Khaimah, November 2010 Admission sessions were conducted for 11th and 12th grade students at the various campuses. Many of these students are preparing to apply for a government scholarship to study in the US. NAJAH Educational Fair October 2010 NAJAH education fair at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center is the largest annual education fair open to students and professionals from all over the UAE. This year it had more than 10,000 visitors. UAE University, Graduate Program, 2010 Advisor and visiting REAC met with a group of teaching assistants preparing to do their graduate studies in the US. ISN College Fair in Abu Dhabi and Dubai October 2010 and February 2011 Approximately 600 students of all nationalities visited the two fairs that had 15 US university representatives. Scholarship granting institutions as well as career counselors from private schools were invited. A US visa officer gave a briefing on visa updates Linden Tours Fall Visit to Dubai October 2010 Approximately 400 students of all nationalities visited the college fair held in Dubai. U.S. University Fair October and April 2011 in Dubai Approximately 400 students are expected to visit the fair. Great opportunity for 16 US college representatives to recruit and market their schools. Ras Al Khaimah Education and Career Fair March 2011 1500 students visited the fair at the RAK Exhibition Center during three days. Very successful event in a remote location 150 miles away from the capital. Doctors Career Fair April 2011 in Abu Dhabi For doctors and medical students. One day event at the hotel to offer information on US Foreign Medical Graduate Examinations. Expected visitors 300. Upcoming Events
